129. Pinning Down The Percentages, The Best Cars Of The 80’s

The trucking life is all about balance. The truck, the run, even the home time. It’s all about balance. That new truck might be great, but the payment is so big it keeps you awake at night. And what good is a great pay check when you’re never home to enjoy it with your family. It’s all in the balance.

It’s no different with podcasting, especially when it comes to trucking. Don and I figured out after about 6 episodes that there had to be more than trucking if The Trucking Podcast were going to continue. We were left with the question of balance. If the show is an hour long, how much of that time should be dedicated to trucking. What do you think?

  • I’m looking forward to talking with Troy at Talk CDL. I’ll let you know when that happens.
  • Four trends in future trucking is from an article at WorkTruckOnline.com. Although they’re talking about vocational trucks, the same trends apply to road trucks.
  • The conversation over 80’s cars is from PopularMechanics.com. I don’t know how collectable some of these are, but they’re an interesting collection of what the 80’s had to offer.

Mr Voss is a former hostage negotiator. We’ll be using this book and others as we go through ways to improve your position in every way.

One BIG tip here. Buy the book, not the audio. If you do buy the audio, still buy the book. You’ll want to highlight, take notes and refer back to this resource as you work your way through it.

Today’s tip is about finding your voice.

The site was down for a couple of hours today. I found out when I went to publish the podcast. Sorry for the delay. If you find the site is down, I really need to know about it. Drop me an email if you find you can’t access the site.
